Anti Marking Film

The Folex anti-marking films are polyester foil-based with a special frequency-modulated, three-dimensional coating. This structured surface minimizes the tendency to ink trapping and the higher areas also provide an extremely small contact surface on the fresh printed sheets. This means that the anti-marking film largely prevents the deposit of fresh printing ink on the transfer cylinders and drum caps in perfecting presses and stabilizes the quality of the printed image throughout the printing process. In contrast to alternative fabric-based solutions, soiled anti-marking film can be easily cleaned with conventional cleaning agents. The rougher the surface of the film, the smaller the contact surface for the printed sheet and thus, the lower the risk of unwanted ink deposits. In the rare cases where faults occur in the image of rougher surface films (7 µm), we recommend the use of our anti-marking film with a finer structure (3.5 µm).
